More on Statins

Here is a blog post by Dr Kurt Harris from over at PaleoNu. He discusses a case of one of his blog readers who has abnormally high LDL in relation to his HDL. He is worried and had sought advice from many a sources including Dr. Harris'.

Dr. Harris has posted on the fallacy that is statin use and the fact that traditional doctors who believe statin us is in order for those with high cholesterol may be causing more harm than helping. In other words, if the diet is in order, "God doesn't make mistakes." He also states that even if your diet is not in order, statin use is unwarranted and may prove costly over the long haul.

Read his blog post and read it well. There is some great information. If you don't understand something, post to comments about it and I will do my best to answer.
