You ever see this at the grocery store and wonder if maybe it's okay? Well it isn't. The name on the front of this bag is just another way that these people try to get into your home. Avoid!!!!!

Below is a link to an article that Eric Clements sent me. I like it because it is everything that I try to get across to you guys but here it is all in one place. The stuff in this article is no joke. It is very real. We, as a people, are dying quickly and our medical field is arguing against it being our diets and those that are somewhat hip to the idea, are arguing against the wrong foods.
Gluten (stay away from gluten-free foods too) and fructose are two very terrible things in our diet. It's one thing to have a piece of bread or an apple every now and then but when we are putting it in our bodies every second of every day, it is a cancer that is causing cancer. These two things are in everything we eat. The bad thing about fructose is that it is only metabolized in the liver and no where else. Glucose on the other hand, is used by the body where needed. Not fructose. Have you ever hear of liver disease? It is usually associated with alcohol but it is now showing up in the form of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). There are adults, and I bet before too long, children as well, who are getting liver disease from food and not alcohol.
For example, you can pretty much assume that about the same amount of sugar in a can of soda is what's in baby formulas, deli meats, etc. Did you also know that agave nectar is at least 70% or higher in fructose. That is more than soda, which contains about 55% refined fructose. Both are made the same way in the fact that they are highly chemically processed with genetically modified enzymes.
Back to the deli meat. I fount this on about.com:bodybuilding. It is only for practicality. To give you an idea of how fast you can fall of track. Think about our line of quality. Remember that line? The higher on the line, the better off you are. Also think about the line in terms of your own self. The more resistant to insulin you are (over-weight), the more you absolutely have to pay attention to this line of quality. Does that make sense? You guys that have a longer ways to go to reach your appearance goals unfortunately have to be that much more strict. You just have to or you will not reach the places you wish to reach. It's a shitty deal but it is what it is. The part of the article that was useful is pasted below:
Hopefully this little post helps you understand a little more clearly on how sugar affects us. Most of the world's population is eating so much sugar, the majority of it in the form of fructose and in hidden foods, that we are basically committing a form of suicide. Take notice and do something about it.

97% fat free: Again, this sounds great! However, what does the percentage really mean? 97% fat free means that the product is 3% fat by weight. So as a result, this has nothing to do with the percentage of fat calories per serving. So your 97% fat free product in reality may have as much as 30% of its calories from fat! How could this be? Let's look at an example. Let's suppose that a 97% fat free slice of deli meat has 30 calories per slice and only 1 gram of fat. Since we know that the 1 gram of fat equals 9 calories, then you can clearly see how if you look at the percentage of fat in terms of calories, most of the caloric content offered by the food comes from fat!
And just for fun, let's go ahead and calculate a few other things. Since we know that 9 calories of the deli meat come from fat, the rest of the calories will come from protein (even though some deli meats also have some sugar in them, but for this example let's assume zero sugar). So 21 remaining calories divided by 4 (since each gram of protein has 4 calories) equals 5.25 grams of protein. Now, a male bodybuilder needs around 35-40 grams per serving and a female around 20-25. So in my case, I like to have 40 grams each meal. If I were to use this deli meat then I need around 8 servings. At 8 servings, now my fat content goes up to 8 grams, which is too high of a content in my opinion, for non essential fats (fats that are not Omega 3's). In addition, deli meats are extremely high in sodium, so that would definitely deter me from eating it.

(now understand what my message is by posting the above statement. It's not the fact that you have to really understand the total macro-nutrient content of the foods you eat because it can be very misleading (which you should pay attention to anyways) but more so that you need to get fat from solid sources only. Because fat in deli meat is where most of the omega-6 lies from the grain that the animals were fed. Yes, probably more than one type of animal in your deli meat. Now if your deli meat is from grass-fed animals that's a whole other story. You now would only have to worry about nitrates, the sugar content, the shitty sodium, and things of that nature but it would be a lot better than your grocery store deli meat. I am just trying to get you to understand that these things contribute to that stubborn subcutaneous fat that stays stored on your body. Look for better sources of protein. WHOLE FOODS ONLY. Preferably from pastured animals.)
