Obesity? Big Feet? Blame Darwin, by Melinda Beck - NYTimes

Evolution Helped Humans Have Children and Survive, But it Also Led to Modern-Day Maladies, Scientists Say.

(Articles posted are for educational and informative purposes only. I have beliefs but this avenue will not be used to push those beliefs on you. I will try and be fair in what I post as it is important to know both sides to every story. Yes, this means that I will post topics and links to topics on vegetarianism and veganism on this blog even though I do not side with either of those groups.)

Post thoughts to comments.

Great addition to the CFO blog. I think this will be a good way to help the CFO atheletes. I know I'll find it helpful!

I'm glad to see this addition as well. Can we post questions here relating to nutrition as well?

Reread the part in bold red that says "Ask Questions!".

Will moderate drinking (once or twice a week 2 or 3 drinks each time) negatively impact training?

If one does choose to drink, are certain types of alcohol "better" than others?

Shelley,
I will look into this more but as far as my current knowledge goes,I'd say (in order of importance):

1. Tequila on the rocks
2. Red Wine
3. Vodka (derived from grapes if you can find it)

This is still in moderation (lots of moderation). I'd recommend no more than two drinks at one sitting if training is important to you and/or insulin control.

Hope this helps. Keep asking.

Thanks for the new blog Ricky, always thirsting for new knowledge. I need to have what Shelley is drinking cause I do not think it is any of the above. By the way Ricky, did you look at the article that I referenced in the blog yesterday about weightlifting shoes. I found it interesting when they talked about the evolution of the weightlifting shoe. FYI, the videos are interesting, especially the diets & hunger and the sugar & starch ones.
